This morning I returned to Chaffee County Road 306 which leads all the way to Cottonwood Pass.
As I approached the turnoff for Cottonwood Lake, the wind picked up and snow was falling. I
did my best to capture some fall foliage photography and this photo (above) for this web site.
At the Cottonwood Pass summit,
it was even more snowy and the upper 0.5 mile stretch of road on
the Chaffee County side was covered with a slushy mixture ice. Ah ... this is Colorado at its finest! -Steve :)
