It all started with this photo, when I first gazed at the stunning view of Jones Mountain to the west.
Cottonwood Pass Road was still closed,
but I reached his point via bicycle. I started at the Denny Creek Trailhead
parking lot and peddled up just a couple of miles. The weather was warm, but
there was still plenty of snow way up here in the high country.
